A McKenna-type kinetic burner (Holthuis & Associates), characterized by a laminar, stable flat flame, used by to study the kinetics of carbon and metal-carbon nanoparticle formation and their properties. Setting allows you to easily change the fuel / oxidizer ratio, fuel type and gas flow rate. Together with the implemented method of laser-induced incandescence (LII), it is used to measure the volume fraction of the condensed phase, the sizes and optical properties of nanoparticles of particles formed during combustion
